Breaking Through
Noah Kocher

I was convinced I didn’t have a talent and I just had to live with it. Until one night I was sitting in my room listening to music and something came over me. I’m not sure what happened but I had this inspiration inside of me that came pouring onto the page. This is what I drew that night.

Hello friends, my name is Noah Kocher. I live in Chattanooga, TN and I’m 19 years old. I’ve been putting my thoughts on paper for about 6 months now. For the first 17 years of my life I aspired to be an artist but never had the ability. I took a few art classes in high school but nothing ever came out looking even remotely decent. I didn’t play sports, I didn’t have a hobby, my grades were average. I was convinced I didn’t have a talent and I just had to live with it. Until one night I was sitting in my room listening to music and something came over me. I’m not sure what happened but I had this inspiration inside of me that came pouring onto the page. This is what I drew that night.

Fast forward 6 months and art has completely taken over my life. I sell my art in local shops, I just hit 100 sales on my etsy, and my art is posted all over my town in the form of stickers and giant posters. Art has completely changed my life and it’s only been 6 months. Who knows where I’ll be 5 years from now.

Narrow Road

Done with brush pen, inspired by a view I saw in Colorado.

Looks

nature

Done with brush pen and microns. Decided to try something new with this illustration and I think it came out beautifully.

Not a Hand

hand

This really tested my patience due to all the stippling, but I think it turned out to be a very unique abstract illustration.

Flower Head

Being one of my earlier pieces, I still go back and admire this illustration from time to time.

Octovision

tv

There is a lot of meaning behind this, but I’ll leave that open to interpretation.

The Road Less Travelled

perspective

I enjoy this illustration because it merges desert and mountains in a unique way.
